What to ask

Once Flyga is connected, talk the way you would if someone had your Plan account open next to you. Name the program. Say what you want back. If you want it written down in Flyga, say log.

The assistant is calling Flyga, not searching a 2023 blog post. Catalog answers (bonuses, cents-per-point, transfer options) match go.flyga.app. Wallet, transfers, redemptions, and benefits are only yours. Logging something in chat writes it to that same account.

If Claude or Cursor asks to allow a Flyga tool, that is normal. Allow it for this chat, or always allow that tool in the assistant. Flyga already applied the hard limit on the OAuth grant (or on an MCP key, if you minted one for a machine).

A first prompt if you just connected:

What should I do with these points?

Flyga reads your wallet, then ranks which points to transfer from what you hold.

Ask for the same history as go.flyga.app Account → Connected apps → Usage: which apps are connected, and the recent tool calls on one of them.

What has Cursor called on my Flyga account lately?

You are deciding whether to move Chase points this week.

What transfer bonuses are live right now? Any from Chase Ultimate Rewards?

Search Flyga for Flying Blue. What’s the current cents-per-point, and who can I transfer from?

Ask follow-ups in the same thread. “Is the Chase one better than Amex this week?” The assistant should stay on Flyga’s published numbers.

This is the Transfer Optimizer, in chat. Say how many miles you need and which program you want them in. If the miles are for a specific award, name the airports too — that is the flight, separate from which points to move. If you want it to prefer what you already hold, say so.

I need 70,000 Flying Blue miles for a JFK–CDG award. Which of my points should I transfer to get them, and is there a transfer bonus on any of them?

I have Chase Ultimate Rewards in my wallet. Cheapest way to 80k Virgin Atlantic, and is anything on bonus?

Read the answer the way you would on the website: ratio, bonus, settlement time, value change. A cheaper multi-hop that takes five days does not help if award space disappears tonight. For the on-site walkthrough, see Using the Transfer Optimizer.

The assistant can rank transfer options. It does not move points at the bank. You still transfer at Chase, Amex, or Citi, then log it.

What’s in my wallet? Is Chase Ultimate Rewards tracked, and what’s the balance?

Start tracking Flying Blue in my wallet at 12,000 miles.

Set my Chase Ultimate Rewards balance to 180,000.

Wallet write is balances and “start tracking this program.” Adding a credit card, nickname, or annual fee is still Wallet on the website.

Say log (or “record”) so it writes, instead of only describing a transfer plan.

Log a completed transfer of 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic today.

I moved 50k Amex Membership Rewards to Flying Blue this morning, 1:1. Log that.

If a bonus applied, say so (“plus the 30% bonus”). If the assistant asks for a date or a confirmation number you do not have, “today” and skip the confirmation.

Then open Transfers on go.flyga.app — the same row should be there.

You can store origin and destination, not only the point total.

Log a Flying Blue redemption, 70,000 miles, JFK to CDG on August 1, business.

I booked ANA, 90k miles, round trip SFO–HND, July 12–26. Cash would have been $4,200. Log it.

A round trip’s destination is the outbound arrival (SFO→HND→SFO is SFO→HND), the same rule as the website. Fare and cabin help Flyga compute cents-per-point. If you do not know the cash fare yet, log the miles and airports first and edit later.

The Points + Cash Calculator is not in chat. Compare mileage-plus-cash award tiers on the website, then convert to a redemption there, or log the booking from chat after you pick a tier.

Report a missing number or a wrong valuation

Section titled “Report a missing number or a wrong valuation”

If Flyga is missing a transfer, showing the wrong cents-per-point, or pairing the wrong airline with a program, say report or file so it uses the same Feedback path as go.flyga.app. That opens a GitHub issue for Flyga when GitHub is configured. You can follow it later under Account → Feedback.

Flying Blue cents-per-point looks too high — 2.1¢ when it should be closer to 1.2¢. File that as a data issue.

There’s no Amex Membership Rewards to EVA transfer in Flyga. Report that missing partnership.

The Chase to Flying Blue ratio is 1:1 in Flyga but Chase is showing 2:1. File a transfer-ratio issue.

Name the program and the expected vs actual value. Catalog permission on the key is enough — this is not a separate Feedback switch.

Which of my card benefits are still unused this calendar year?

Did I capture the Amex Platinum hotel credit this window?

Benefit claims include the period window (for example Jan–Jun), so “this year” does not have to guess from last-touched dates. Creating a new claim is still a website job. Chat can list them and mark one used, hidden, or written off if that write is allowed on the connection.

Name programs the way Flyga does. “Chase Ultimate Rewards”, “Flying Blue”, “Marriott Bonvoy” — not “Chase points” if you also have Ink business in another program.

One job per message until it is working. “What bonuses are live?” then “Now run the optimizer for 70k Flying Blue from my wallet.” A paragraph that asks for a bonus check, a wallet update, and a logged redemption at once is how the assistant skips a step.

Say log when you want a write. “Which of my points should I transfer to Flying Blue?” is a lookup. “Log that I transferred 60k Chase UR to Virgin today” is a write. If you only wanted advice and it offers to log, tell it not to.

Say report when Flyga’s numbers look wrong. “What’s Flying Blue CPP?” is a lookup. “File a data issue — Flying Blue CPP should be 1.2¢, not 2.1¢” writes Feedback, the same as the website form.

Airports are IATA codes or city names it can resolve. “JFK to CDG” is clearer than “New York to France.”

If it invents a 2023 bonus, tell it to use Flyga. “Check Flyga, don’t guess.” You should see it call Flyga tools. If Flyga is off for that chat (Claude’s + → Connectors, Cursor’s MCP toggle), turn it on.

If it cannot see your wallet or transfers, confirm the assistant connected with the URL only and that Account → Connected apps still lists it. If you are on a machine key instead, open Account → API keys → Permissions and make sure that group is Always allow. Don’t allow hides the tool completely.

The transfer at the bankFlyga records what you did; Chase/Amex still move the points

You have Chase UR, you want Paris in Flying Blue, and you already transferred.

  1. “What bonuses are live from Chase Ultimate Rewards?”
  2. “I need 70,000 Flying Blue miles for a JFK–CDG award. Which of my points should I transfer to get them, and is there a transfer bonus on any of them?”
  3. You transfer at Chase (on their site).
  4. “Log 70,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards to Flying Blue today, 1:1.”
  5. After you book: “Log Flying Blue, 70k miles, JFK–CDG August 1 business, cash fare $3,400.”

Steps 1–2 are reads. Steps 4–5 write to the same Plan account you see in the browser. Open Transfers and Redemptions to confirm.

If a prompt needs the calculator or a new card, do that on the website, then come back to chat for the next question.
