Cadences, enrollment, and windows

Simulated data

The screenshots and data shown in this guide use simulated test data. Card benefits, credit amounts, and dollar values are examples and may not match your issuer’s current offers. Always verify terms and remaining credits with your card issuer before acting.

Two clocks matter on Benefits: how often the perk renews (cadence), and whether this window is open yet. Enrollment is a separate gate some issuers require before anything posts.

Cadence labels

Cadence	What it usually means
One-time	A single claim (promo or first-year style)
Annual	Once per card year
Yearly by anniversary	Annual, aligned to your card open/renew date
Monthly	Recurring monthly installments (sometimes “auto”, sometimes tied to spend)
Quarterly	Four windows per year (Q1–Q4)
Per stay	Each qualifying stay can claim
Ongoing	Continuous earn or standing perk (for example monthly housing earn)

Half-year credits often show as Jan–Jun / Jul–Dec period labels instead of calendar quarters.

Windows: Needs you vs Upcoming

• Needs you — the window is open (or enrollment/setup is pending). This is what the Needs you filter counts.
• Upcoming — a future installment that isn’t chaseable yet (for example Q4 while you’re still in Q3). It moves into Needs you when the calendar opens.
• Expiring soon — open windows with roughly 45 days or less left. Use this filter when you’re cleaning house before a deadline.

Anniversary and yearly windows follow the opened / renews dates on the Wallet card. If those dates are blank or wrong, benefits may open on the wrong schedule — edit the card in Wallet to fix them.

Enrollment

Optional	Enrollment helps but isn’t mandatory; still mark it if you completed it

Assignable passives with a catalog suggestion (Priority Pass, Sky Club punches) don’t use a Set up CTA — finish issuer enrollment, then Accept suggested / Set my value / Punch. Counting ones move to Active. Unrated lounges stay under Passive until you Set a value.

Spend credits with Required enrollment (Resy, entertainment, airline fee selection) do not block the check/slider — enroll with the issuer, then capture dollars as usual.

Reading the benefit sheet

Open a benefit for full description / terms from the catalog, period schedule, and actions (mark used, enroll, hide, won’t claim). Use the issuer site as the source of truth for remaining balances; Flyga is your personal ledger.

Tip

Always count open months (on monthly series) is about usage habit, not enrollment. Enroll first if the issuer requires it, then decide whether every open month should auto-count.
