Hide, write off, and scorecards
Not every credit is worth chasing. Benefits gives you two ways to clear a row — and they do different things to your totals.
Hide vs Won’t claim
Section titled “Hide vs Won’t claim”| Action | Section | Effect on totals |
|---|---|---|
| Hide | Hidden | Removed from tracking — excluded from Claimed / Unused math |
| Won’t claim | Written off | Forfeited for this cycle — the unused amount still counts as lost |
Use Hide when the perk was never relevant (wrong lifestyle, duplicate access, you’re not keeping the card). Use Won’t claim when you admit you left money on the table and want that loss reflected in how the fee looks.
Rows also expose a Hide control (hover or tap) that moves the credit to Hidden without booking a forfeited loss.
After you mark something used, hidden, or written off, Benefits briefly shows an in-place undo. Expand Hidden or Written off later to restore a row if you change your mind.
Per-card scorecards
Section titled “Per-card scorecards”Each card shows captured credit value against its annual fee:
Net ≈ Claimed − annual fee
- Ahead — captured credits cover the fee (so far)
- Behind — you’re still short of the fee
Unrated Passive lounges never add to Claimed. Once you Accept suggested, Set my value, or Punch visits, those assignable dollars do count toward Claimed / net-of-fee (they live under Active). Hidden spend credits leave the math entirely. Written-off credits keep the forfeited remainder in the loss side of the story.
Hero: Claimed vs Unused
Section titled “Hero: Claimed vs Unused”The page hero toggles:
- Claimed — dollars you’ve captured across cards
- Unused — chaseable dollars still available on open windows
Filters (Needs you, Expiring soon) narrow the list without changing how the scorecard math works.
Fees vs value chart
Section titled “Fees vs value chart”The side panel (or stacked card on mobile) compares value captured to each card’s annual fee marker, plus an across-all-cards net. Use it together with the hero Claimed / Unused toggle when you’re deciding what to chase next.
